All majors are welcomed and encouraged. SAE strives to be one of the most diverse organizations on campus. You can become a member of the Mini Baja team by attending the weekly meetings and participating in the design and construction of the car. Each individual can decide the extent of their involvement with the team.
Do I need to have any experience with cars or fabrication to join the club? Top
Definitely not! The Mini Baja Team is comprised of members with varying amounts of knowledge and experience. Our main goal is education and helping members gain the knowledge and experience that will help them succeed in college and in their professional careers after graduation.
Weekly meetings are held every Tuesday night, 7:00 PM.
Where is the meeting location? Top
Meetings are held in 1246 Howe Hall on the Iowa State campus.
When does the Baja Team work in the shop? Top
Most Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM. E-mail notifications will be sent out to the Mini Baja e-mail list prior to the weekend, indicating when work will be taking place.
Where is the shop located? Top
The shop is located in 110 Nuclear Engineering. Enter the building from the double doors on the South side of the building. Then walk straight through two sets of doors to enter the shop.
*Safety Glasses are required at all times when in the shop*
Are there dues required to become a member? Top
Each member is required to pay an annual membership fee of $30. This money is distributed between the Formula Team, Baja Team, and SAE International.
How can I add my name to the Mini Baja e-mail list? Top
Once you are already logged in to a computer and on the Internet, you can use these instructions to add yourself to our e-mail list. You must open a web browser to the following web address: https://asw.iastate.edu/cgi-bin/acropolis/login
Login with Username and password.
· The Net-ID is your ISU e-mail username.
· The password is your ISU e-mail account password.
· Enter your estimated login time in minutes. The default is 30 minutes.
Click [Login].
Click Manage Lists.
Click View/Update a List's Members.
Type mbaja, or fsae in the List text box.
Type your e-mail username in the Member text box.
Click [Add] to be added to our mailing list.
Note: You will only be able to add the user that initially logged in.
At this point you have completed adding yourself to our mail list.

How can I delete my name from the Mini Baja (or any other) e-mail list? Top
