Frequently Asked Questions 1. Who do I contact if I have a question? Most inquires should be directed toward the Chief Editorial Assistant, Christopher L. Ball at ceaisq@iastate.edu. Please do not contact the editor's at their individual email accounts. If you have a question regarding an editorial decision, you can contact the editors at isq@iastate.edu 2. How many physical copies of my manuscript should I submit? See our submission guidelines. 3. Can I submit only an electronic copy? All US and Canadian authors must submit physical copies. We will accept electronic only submissions from overseas scholars to defray the cost of submission. Given ISQ's volume of submissions, it is not feasible for us to print physical copies for the editors and for reviewers, many of whom prefer to read physical copies. 4. If I was invited to revise and resubmit the manuscript, how many copies should I submit? You should submit 2 copies with self-references included (for use by the editors) and anonymous copies for the reviewers to which the manuscript will be returned. Please provide an anonymous electronic version of the manuscript and the memorandum to the reviewers explaining any changes you have made. For reviewers who accept electronic submissions, we will email the memorandum to them as an attachment. 5. How long will it take to review my manuscript? The time varies depending mostly on the ease with which we find willing reviewers and their speed in returning manuscripts. The median time from submission to decision for a new manuscript was over 3 months in 2002.
