| I am interested in elucidating the molecular mechanisms of Mla-mediated resistance signaling in response to powdery mildew infection using microarray. Gene expression profiling will be done with a 22,500 feature GeneChip at specific time points after pathogen inoculation in disease-sensitive mutants and wild-type progenitors. Our goal is to determine which barley genes are up- and down- regulated in response to pathogen challenge. |
