| The focus of my research is to understand the molecular interaction between an obligate biotroph and its host. Specifically, my goal is to identify and characterize bona fide Blumeria graminis effectors from a pool of candidate genes. In addition, during the summer, I train high school science teacher interns on a curriculum module using Oregon Wolfe Barley to teach gene expression and segregation. |
