Students

Doctoral students at the six partner universities interested in educational technology are encouraged to engage with the ILET project through activities such as reading groups, conference workshops, and collaborative action research. The aim is to improve digital equity and increase intercultural education through innovations with educational technology.

ILET aims to support at least 30 students to study abroad as a visiting scholar; each partner university will send approximately five students to study abroad and host five students from abroad. Graduate students and other educators providing leadership in educational technology will also be encouraged to join informally in the public discussions and conference activities where appropriate. Students studying abroad will become ambassadors for their universities and the project. All six universities offer general and specific orientation before, during, and after study abroad - this is an important part of the ILET experience.

Local students unable to study abroad will be encouraged to participate in mentoring those who study abroad and those they meet virtually through activities developed under this program. Pilot activities have already demonstrated the value of this approach for professional development.
