Research
This
research is an Action Research case study of the challenges in evolving
professional development for educators that spans cultures, time zones,
and continents. Experience from Europe is beign knit with that from the
U.S.A. Our social constructivist approach to learning using communication
technologiess (including the web) draws graduate students, faculty, and
staff together to develop flexible and distance learning in 3 universities
in the US and 3 in Europe. We will use the reading groups' interactions,
evaluations and limited interviewing to gather data, plus surveys of project
leaders across six universities.
Participation
in the research is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time. Researchers
will delete entries in the data archives. Where participants may be identified
they will be asked for their approval before publication.
