ILET Reading Group 2 in Spanish: New forms of literacy and communication

ILET Reading Group 2 will take the form of a month long seminar, beginning on 15 November 2002.

This on-line seminar will be mandatory for Dr Rodriguez' students in the first year of doctorate in the University of Barcelona (http://www.ub.es/multimedia/doct/index.htm). This anchoring course is an introductory course on Pedagogical and Social Consequences of Information Systems. It will include this online seminar discussion of New Forms of Literacy and Comunication.

The course will be provided through a mailing list with an historical repository of messages and a download area --in fact, a free Yahoo group. Registered students will receive all messages in Spanish as soon as they are produced, so they will not have to check a web site to look for new messages in a discussion group.

To register for the course please send an email to ILET@iastate.edu with the subject line: Request to join ILET reading group 2 in Spanish. Provide details of your name, University and degree program, email, and professional web page URL (if available). You will be added to the Yahoo Group that will be used for this course. In this way you will receive emails and there will be an associated web site that will archive the communication.
