·      Experienced with Light and Electron Microscopy (TEM, SEM) and Confocal Scanning Laser Microscopy and whole preparation techniques  of  them.

·        Experienced to operate of Light and Electron microscopes (STEM, SEM) , Confocal Scanning Laser Microscope and X-ray diffraction.

·        Fluoresence in situ hybridization (FISH) techniques (workshop at Texas A&M  

           University).

·        Introduction to Molecular Biology Techniques workshop (one semester cource at Iowa  

           State University). Workshop in basic molecular biology techniques and related procedures. 

A.     DNA Techniques. Includes genetic engineering procedures, sequencing, PCR, and genotyping.

B.     Plant Transformation. Includes Agrobacterium and particle gun transformation, and analysis of transformants (enzyme assay, PCR, Southern blot).

·                  Experienced regarding prepared variety of specimens (animal, botanical, microbiological, and material) for all aspects of microscopy including brightfield, darkfield, polarized, fluorescent, Nomarski, and phase contrast light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

·                  Performed all techniques for microscopic evaluation including standard and microwave processing procedures, paraffin sectioning, resin sectioning (both semi-thin and thin ultramicrotomy with diamond knife for TEM grids), cryomicrotomy, staining of slides for regular histochemistry, specialized histochemistry, immunohistochemistry, and in-situ hybridization, staining of sections on grids for TEM evaluation using various heavy metals, staining grids for immunocytochemical and histochemical TEM evaluation, positive and negative staining for microbiological preparations, preparing carbon replicas for TEM evaluation, and preparing and  sputter coating critical point dried samples for SEM evaluation.

·                  Consulted and assisted with design of new projects for researchers from university related departments as well as private institutions/corporations for either proprietary research or publications.

·                  Operated all specialized equipment including Leitz Orthoplan and Olympus SZH10 light microscopes, JEOL 1200EX scanning/transmission electron microscope, JEOL 5800LV scanning electron microscope, Kevex image analysis/X-ray microanalysis equipment and software, Reichert Ultracut S ultramicrotome, A/O rotary microtome, Ted Pella EM microwave processor and other ancillary equipment.
