A Post-Doc Position in Experimental Aerodynamics and Advanced Flow Diagnostics

A post-doc position in the field of experimental aerodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer is available immediately at the Advanced Flow Diagnostics and Experimental Aerodynamics Laboratory of Department of Aerospace Engineering, Iowa State University.
The position will involve in conducting fundamental studies related to thermal management of gas turbine engines, wind turbine aeromechanics, aircraft icing physics and anti-/de-icing technologies; supervising and collaborating with graduate and undergraduate students; and preparing technical reports and papers. The initial appointment is for one year, and is renewable for additional years subject to the performance and funding availability.
Please send a cover letter addressing how you meet following requirements: a technical background in experimental aerodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer; strong publication record in one or more of the following areas: multi-phase flows, vortex flows, passive or/and active flow controls; hands-on experiences of using laser-based flow diagnostic techniques such as PIV, LIF and PSP; an updated C.V. with the information of educational background and degree dates; GPA with scale; a list of the published journal papers and conference presentations; names and contact information of at least two professional references.
