I like TV, so I watched it all the time in Japan. "Did you ever watch Japanese TV?" I think, it's good. But, Japanese TV programs contain sorne bad things for kids.
For example, "Pocket Monster" is a very famous animation in many countries. I watched it a few times, and I thought it good. Japanese animation is clear, because of using computers and the repetition of one story. But two years ago, kids watched "Pocket Monster." After wards their feeling was bad. Many kids went to the hospital because they were overstimulated. They suffered seizures.
Another example is the many dirty TV programs In Japan. Most start at 11:00 p.m. Many kids have an interest in these programs, and they stay up late at night on week days and weekends. Afterwards they go to school and then they talk with friends or try what they saw on the program. Japanese kids study sex education from TV. I think it is a big problem in Japan.
We have many TV programs in Japan, but sometimes they aren't good. Japanese kids learn a lot of bad things and good things from TV. I think Japanese TV does need to think about kids.
Although many people leave their countries to look for new countries, they may face some difficult problems they didn't expect. According to the situation, there may be a lot of problems or little ones. The problems would be serious troubles for living in the new country.
First, the most common problems immigrants meet are culture shock and language. Because most countries like the U.S.A and Canada have different customs, which are quite strange to Asians at first. Asians are often surprised that good behavior in their country may be impolite in the country that they move to. And adult immigrants sometimes face large problems of language if they didn't learn it before. For example, even though an adult immigrant has been taught English in school, he or she can hardly hear the pronunciation or understand the correct meaning of native Americans. So, the children of a new immigrant family may become the translators between the parents and Americans.
Second, the other problem that we may think about is jobs. Although they move to the new country with hope for good work, they soon find it impossible to get the job they wanted. I guess that it is because of lack of language ability and job opportunities, difference of culture, and so on. I heard that some immigrants who had worked as professors, doctors, or lawyers were working in grocery stores and gas stations after moving to the U.S.A.
In conclusion, even though immigration is exciting in some aspects, the persons who want to immigrate have to prepare for the new lives before leaving their countries.
