11. Writing/Testing Instructions
Tuesday
Activities will include:
- Presentation on writing instructions and usability testing.
- Group exercise - writing software instructions. With your class group, write instructions on how to add a page border to a Microsoft Word document.
- Using SnagIt and Camtasia to make computer screenshots for print and video.
- Using SketchUp to make simple 3-D illustrations for procedures and instructions.
Thursday
Activities will include:
- Discussion of oral presentation strategies (with or without software)
- Workshop on effective PowerPoint presentations.
