Minor Requirements

A minor in History at ISU requires:

15 credits of HIST, including ...

• 9 credits of HIST at the 300- or 400-level, excluding HIST 490.
• 9 of the 300+ level HIST credits must be taken at ISU.
• A grade of C or higher in at least 6 of the 300+ level credits.

The History minor is frequently chosen by students majoring in Political Science, Journalism, Anthropology, English, Computer Science, and Business, but its flexible requirements make it a viable option for students in any major.

Students may formally add the minor either before or after they complete the courses.

See your current advisor to begin the paper work required to add the minor to your degree program.  For the History Department signature, take the completed form to 659 Ross Hall.
