Department Requirements:

• Minimum of 36 credits of History
• Minimum of 24 credits of History at the 300-level or above
• Maximum of 12 credits of History at the 200-level or below
• Maximum of 15 credits of History in the 300-level
• At least 12 credits of History at the 400-level or above
• At least 15 credits of History at the 300-level or above taken at ISU
• History 495 or a graduate seminar (minimum grade of C)
• Complete courses filling 5 of 6 geographic/chronological groups
• Earn a GPA of 2.0 or above in at least 36 credits of HIST
• Complete all other LAS College and Iowa State University requirements.
