Non-school coaches timecards, still many unanswered questions;

Fat testing- Alan Beste to do presentation in pm;

Eligibility Guidelines- study table, Incomplete and Withdrawal policies;

On-A-Roll and State Academic Awards-which grades to use;

New Stat Program-vb not ready, fb offensive stats only;

Softball- Troy to address in pm

Jeff Novotny of Council Bluffs Abe Lincoln elected Secretary by acclimation.

State and National Update by Bob Sweeney Retired AD

March; Convention attendance a concern; zoomerang surveys; encourage

NIAAA membership; CAA testing- encourage new AD

President Lynn Johnson announces:

Bob Sweeney(Atlantic)- High School AD of the year for SW Iowa

Ken Blackman(Red Oak)- JH School AD of the year for SW Iowa

Mitch Osborn introduced our guest speaker, Dana Altman, Head Men

at Creighton. Topics he spoke on included: How do you prepare high school

athletes for college athletic programs?, What is your program built on?, What is a

typical game day regimen? What is the role of assistants in the program? Why have so many Iowa athletes been successful in the program?

Rick Wulkow, Alan Beste and Dave Anderson presented topics from the IHSAA. Topics discussed are listed on the blue handout. Much of the time spent discussing the new wrestling guidelines for the upcoming season.

Troy Dannen and Lisa Brinkmeyer represented the IGHSAU and presented topics concerning that organization. Topics discussed are listed on the yellow handout. Troy major topic was the changes for softball now being discussed by the Board of Control.
