IHSADA ANNOUNCES 2009 ATHLETIC DIRECTORS OF THE YEAR

AND HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES

The Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association has selected the recipients of the IHSADA 2009 High School Athletic Director of the Year

and the IHSADA 2009 Middle School Athletic Director of the Year.

The 2009 Athletic Director of the Year is Harley Schieffer of Clarinda High School.

The 2009 Middle School Athletic Director of the Year is Guy Clark of Central Decatur Middle School.

Other finalists for the awards were:

• Mike Winker, Xavier High School, NE District
• Greg Crook, BC-IG High School, NW District
• Randy Teymer, Pleasant Valley High School, SE District

• Steve Kitzman East Marshall Middle School, Central District
• Don Pederson, Garner-Hayfield Middle School, NE District
• Brandon Ruffridge, Pocahontas Area Middle School, NW District
• Ted Thompson, Bettendorf Middle School, SE District

Also announced is the IHSADA 2009 Hall of Fame Inductees.

Award honorees will be recognized at the annual IHSADA State Convention March 29^th-31^st at the Hotel Ft. Des Moines in Des Moines.
