Course Description:

(3 semester credits). Effective instructional strategies for conducting programs using the fiber optics network. Practice interactive communications using distance education laboratories on campus. Evaluate components of distance education practice using National Standards for Family and Consumer Sciences Education

Objectives:

Recognize distance education developments in Iowa, the US, and globally.

Identify resources available to the family and consumer sciences professional for delivering programs over the ICN.

Practice presentation techniques for a specified setting which facilitate positive outcomes.

Translate FCS content for meeting the needs of a specified clientele through an interactive distance education delivery system.
