Free Lee's Links

As you can see, I have links to many different resources on my page. They cover a large variety of topics from more information about me, to the who, what, where, and hows of the actual operation and fundraising. Listed below are the links along with short decriptions of why I have chosen to use them, so feel free to check them out.

Myspace Logo

This is a link to my Myspace page. I am sure most of you already know what Myspace is, but if not I will tell you. Myspace is a networking site that was originally set up to spread the word about new bands and music. It now has millions of members, most of which have nothing to do with the music. There are people from all different places and backgrounds. It simplifies trying to find groups of people that have the same interests. It also makes contacting and communicating with people who may have the same problems or concearns quick and easy and gives you the access to the world and not just your local area. I used because it was a good way to spread the word about spinal cord research and my cause in general. Every one can view my Myspace profile, but you must be a member to view my photos and videos, as well as send me messages. If you aren't a member, don't worry because all of the information that is on my Myspace profile is here on this page.

Carepages Logo

Once again this is a page you are all probably already familiar with. It is my carepage profile. We started this page while I was in the hospital. We could post on there what was going on with me. Then, when we post, anyone who has an account recieves an email notice to check and see what we posted. Also anybody with an account can make a post, so that I and everyone else can see it. I recieved loads of posts while I was in the hospital and it was nice to have something to read and know that so many people are supporting me. All of my posts and everyone elses are still on the page, so if you think you might enjoy reading them, check it out. There is also a photo gallery on the carepage, but the majority of the photos appear on this page as well. You will have to create an account to view the page, but it is simple, give a name password and email. It is pretty simple and secure. Once you get an account and log it, it will ask you for the exact Carepages name. Mine is HarrisISU. Feel free to read old posts and make new ones while you are there.

NTAF Logo

This is a link to the National Transplant Assistance Fund (NTAF). We are using this organization to manage our funds because they provide many benifits. There are not only benifits for us in fundraising, but also for those who are making the donations. The first is the ease of donating in the first place. You go right to this site and donate from your computer. If you don't know how, or just don't want to do this, you can donate at any one of our fundraisers, or to me or any other member of my team and the funds will still find their way to the NTAF. Another major benifit of using an orgainizaton such as this is that it makes all donations tax deductible and they will povide recipts for tax purposes if you would like them. So if you would like to make a donation or just find out more about NTAF this is your link.

RIM Logo

This link will take you to the homepage of the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM) located at the Detroit Medical Center (DMC). This is the clinic that I chose to do my rehabilitation at following my procedure in Portugal with Dr. Lima. Experts in the field of medicine continue to emphasize the importance of intensive physical therapy in addition to this and other experimental procedures. I can personally vouch for the quality of care at RIM. It is phenomenal, the staff is well educated as well as experienced. They have the have the staff and the resources to help you to achieve your goals. I would recommend RIM or any similar type of clinic specializing in SCI to anyone who is serious about their recovery.

RIM Logo

This is the like to a pretty good website called the CareCure Community. There are forums and blogs with loads of informations about spinal cord injuries ranging from the best ways to adapt to an injury to the latest research for a cure to spinal cord injury. If you have questions about an SCI there is a pretty good chance that somebody else has already asked it on that page, and got an answer. One word of caution about the site though, keep in mind that this is a user submitted site and people are passionate about their opinions. So keep that in mind while browsing and enjoy.

Update

Random foliage

I recently ordered 1000 more stickers and they should be here soon. If you want one and still don't have one, or know somebody who wants one let me know. Also, I am still looking for people to send me their pictures of their sticker stuck to things, so if you have any, send them to me. If you don't have any, take some, then send them to me. Once I get them I will post them all in the gallery section of this page.

Thanks.
