Nutrient Network: a Global Experiment

More recently,  I helped organize and initiate the Nutrient Network (NutNet): a global network of identically replicated experiments that is designed to gain a general understanding of the extent to which multiple resource limitation and top-down controls influence community dynamics and ecosystem functioning across broad geographic scales. We have enlisted the collaboration of over 60 other scientists at more than 50 sites across North America, Europe, Australia, Africa, and China. NutNet provides the ideal framework for my ongoing research program in that it combines site-specific research with large-scale synthetic collaboration.
