Pottery/Sculptural/3-Dimensional Design work accepted for display/sale by 5 member jury for inclusion at Walnut Creek National Wildlife Preserve. (Note: artwork uses my photography skills combined with computer manipulation to create a unique look that is a cross between the realism of a photo with the softness of watercolor. It requires my skills as both a photographer and a computer artist and directly relates to the photo/design portions of courses I teach.)

ESCAN: The Environment. Science Communication Activities and News. ESCAN is an extensive web site focusing on Iowa's natural habitats including Prairies, Woodlands and Waterways. Each section involves working with subject experts, getting illustrations and photos and doing actual production and programming. It also is the basis for a new project working with Iowa High Schools to encourage science writing. In 1996 I designed the flowcharts, designed the basic format or "look" to be used throughout and finished production on the Prairies section. My graduate assistant, Joe Leonard, took over primary production responsibilities in 1997.
