My pottery also reflects my love of nature. I fire in traditional and raku-style kilns to acheive a variety of looks. Each piece is individual as I am not particularly interested in production pottery.
Standard functional ware is safe for cooking in the microwave or oven. Raku ware is not sealed at the same level and should be primarily for decoration or dry foods.
