Week 1

Introduction of the musketeers. Watch several episodes of The Three Musketeers (BBC TV 1966)

For week 2 read The Three Musketeers, "Introduction" to the Oxford Classics edition (handout). "The Author's Preface," and chs. 1-5 (up through "The King's Musketeers and the Cardinal's Guards"). Complete study questions to hand in week 2.

For Thursday Group 1 should prepare 5-10 minutes worth of oral comments to introduce the film.
