Dear Scottish Country Dancer,

RSCDS-Central Iowa hopes you can take advantage of a rare opportunity in the Midwest (USA) to meet, dance with and learn from Brenda Burnell, Leeds, England, at the Scottish Country Dance Workshop March 11, 2000 in Ames, Iowa described above.

I've known Brenda Burnell since July 1992 when she was my prelim tutor at St. Andrews. She is knowledgeable, clear, straightforward, kind, supportive, and, when pressed, firm without being sharp. She is a great role model for teaching, dancing -- she has what I think of as clear, "classic" Scottish Country Dancing steps and style -- and on how to get along with others. I always feel good about myself when I communicate with Brenda.

We are very fortunate to have Brenda visit Central Iowa. In large part this is thanks to the RSCDS-Winnipeg Branch, who arranged for Brenda to participate in their weekend workshop March 3-5, and to Brenda, who let us know about the possibility she could visit Central Iowa after that. We were delighted to have this chance to meet and learn from Brenda Burnell and hope you too can take advantage of this opportunity.

Most sincerely,

Holly Fuchs
