FreeBSD is an advanced BSD UNIX operating system for the Intel compatible (x86), DEC Alpha and PC-98 architectures. It is often used by gigantic providers and companies such as Above.net, Yahoo, and ftp.freesoftware.com. FreeBSD is free of charge and all source code is available. FreeBSD may be purchased from one of these publishers or freely downloaded via FTP from one of many sites listed here. Or, if you are on the Iowa State University network, FreeBSD may be downloaded super fast via the Ames Free Unix Group anonymous FTP server. Simply connect to aafugit.org, port 21.
