JOB DESCRIPTION

My job involves organizing the oral proficiency testing and training of international TAs, helping with the TA College Teaching Seminar, and developing and distributing the ISU TA handbook. For a brief description of the ITA testing and training program, Click here

TEACHING

I have taught English as a second language classes in the English department and IEOP (ISU's intensive English Program) since 1985, focusing particularly on the writing and oral communication skills graduate students need. I have also taught freshman composition and introductory linguistics. More recently I have been working with international TAs, helping them improve their oral English,teaching skills, and cultural awareness. This semester I'm teaching English/University Studies 180A
