Book:     Physics 111 Laboratory Manual, Spring, 2002 printing.  This manual is available at the University Bookstore.  Only the Spring, 2002 printing is suitable; if you received an earlier printing from the bookstore this semester, please return it to the bookstore in exchange for the correct printing.

Lab Fee:  The fee for Physics 111 Laboratory is $15.75.  You will be billed for this later in the semester.

Laboratory Room:  Physics Rooms 60 & 64, as indicated below.

Note I:           The Diagnostic Math Exam:

1.      During this class, pick up a copy of the Diagnostic Math Exam and computer answer form;

2.      Outside of class, without a calculator or help from anyone, work through the diagnostic math exam and complete the computer answer form. In doing the exam, follow the instructions on the cover sheet of the exam;

3.      Your completed computer answer form is due at your lab class on Monday, June 25. (You should keep the exam itself.)

Note II:          Students who miss this lab on Monday, June 17: pick up a copy of the Diagnostic Math Exam and computer answer form from the main office (Room 12). Then follow the instructions under Note I above.

Note III:        Note that the next lab is not the next one in the manual! Be sure you prepare for the correct lab each time!

Note IV:        Note that this lab is not the next one in the manual!! Experiments are not always done in the order which they have in the manual!!

Note V:          All math assignments are due by the Monday, July 15.

Note VI:         This lab had to be scheduled earlier than we would like, although we expect this will cause you no great problem. Please be sure to read sections 10.1-3 in your text.
