My Education…so far

2002: I graduated from Freeport High School with Commendation and a Math and Science Award.

Freeport High School. Our mascot is a Pretzel.

I’m serious.

2004: I graduated from Highland College with an Associate of Science in Physics. While at Highland I became a member of Phi Theta Kappa and two years in a row was a State Finalist in Parliamentary Debate.

2006: I graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelors Degree in Physics. In 2005, while at Bradley, I competed in the 2005 AAPT World physics contest…I was the only undergraduate finalist.

Bradley Hall…not a very pretty picture, but it’s the only one I had.

2006 to Present: I began a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics at Iowa State University. During the summer of 2007 I joined Prof. Ruslan Prozorov’s research group. I am currently studying the magnetic fields on the surface of type II superconductors.
