Interests

I love animals! This should be obviously given my major is animal science & I want to be a veterinarian someday.

This summer I spent every day at my local animal shelter hanging out with my best friends (the dogs).

I am currently in a couple of clubs at ISU including:

· SHRA- Students Helping Rescue Animals

· PVC- Pre-Vet Club PVC Homepage

I am also involved in the Josh Project- which is a group that raises money in order to buy ‘kits’ for children in hospitals. These kits include a stuffed dog named Josh and a story about Josh. ISU's Josh and Friends Project

I still volunteer at the animal shelter where I am from whenever I go home.

I also volunteer at the Boone animal shelter and the Ft. Dodge animal shelter. I am planning on joining the Ames animal shelter this coming January.

When I am not volunteering, I love going to see movies. Usually I have seen every movie in the theater… unless it is meant for little children (with some exceptions), or it seems very boring. I love scary movies and action movies. I usually end up closing my eyes for the really scary scenes ;)

Redbox is also a very good friend of mine. I think there should be at least one Redbox placed on campus- it would get a lot of use!

All that volunteering and movie-watching makes me hungry! So it’s a good thing I also love food! I especially love going to Mexican restaurants! I worked at Taco Bell for 3 years… which isn’t really considered “Mexican,” but it is close enough. Whenever I go to a new restaurant I rate it according to the cheese dip. I usually get the chimichanga wherever I go as well.

I love grilled cheese sandwiches. Clyde’s on ISU’s campus has the BEST grilled cheese sandwiches I have ever tasted!

& lastly my favorite candy is Skittles… I actually recently bought a 41 ounce bag of skittles for $7.00 (a great deal!)
