I am a huge Harry Potter nerd. I have read all of the books, have seen and own all of the movies, and am currently a member of Pottermore, a website created by the author of Harry Potter. This photo was from the midnight premiere of the final Harry Potter film over the summer when my friends and I dressed up in our “house colors.”


Uhuru Magazine is the multicultural magazine on Iowa State’s campus. I currently write and copy edit for Uhuru, meaning not only do I write articles on multicultural and controversial events, but I also have to make sure the other articles written are free of spelling and grammatical errors. It’s a really fun way to get involved with current issues while providing a fun take executionally.


I have always been extremely interested in photography. I don’t plan to make a business out of it or anything, but whether it’s a photo of a perfect sunset or just a few goofy shots of my friends, my favorite view of life is from behind the lens of a camera.
