For a research essay I chose to write about affirmative action. Using both sides of the argument, I proved that affirmative action in regards to higher education is benifitial to both the college or university itself, as well as to the students attending.
An annotated bibliography is a very good way to discover whether a certain source is going to work well to back up a research topic. This is my annotated bibliography for my research paper on affirmative action in education.
This is my summary for "On Becoming a Chicano" by Richard Rodriguez. Summarizing an essay is a great way to understand and remember it because I had to comprehend everything and summarize it in my own words. I also had to identify the main points of the writing, and this proved to be a very hepful study aid.
For a rhetorical analysis I chose to analyze the website for Olvera Street. I explained different symbols on the website that show how the aspects of Olvera Street represent Old Mexico. Some of these include marichi bands and traditional Mexican paintings.
