1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

This is my 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. I got it in January 1999 from Wagonmasters in Texas (hence the lack of rust). I highly recommend them if you have all the money at once and don't want to do a bunch of restoration work yourself. (Otherwise, if you end up fully restoring an older vehicle, you'll still spend just as much in the end; you'll just get to spread it out over more time.)

If you don't know the significance of the license plates, visit the official THX website. My first choice was actually "THX 1138", but unsurprisingly, it was already taken, probably by some hot rod ("THX 138" was the license of a car in American Grafitti). I was somewhat surprised to actually get "THX", which was my second choice. Yes, it all goes back to George. And yes, it's especially geeky since thx@iastate.edu is one of my email addresses.

For stats, it's starting to get away from stock, but still at least using an engine that was available in that type of body. Would like to do a 2-4" lift and put 31"x10.5" tires on it, like the '74 has now. ("We look for things. We look for things to make us go.")

And here are the thumbnails to the pics of the '88. They're links to larger versions, and if anybody really wants even larger ones (usually 1024x768 or similar resolutions), email me (they're on my home computer).
