Hi, welcome to my website.
I'm David Hessel. I'm a graduate student currently pursuing my PhD in genetics at Iowa State University. My main research interests include host-plant resistance to insects and pathogens and examining the role of genetic and environmental factors on complex traits. I'm also fascinated with the role of technology in shaping the future of biology through advances in computing, sequencing, and genotyping.
This page is currently under construction. In the future you will be able to find additional information about my research projects, and post any questions or comments you may have. I have provided some resource links for those of you interested in learning more about Iowa State, plant genetics or maize. I've also posted links to webtool projects I've been involved with. Stay tuned for more updates!
