Six to 8 students from Iowa State University will join students from 6-8 other American universities as well as 30-50 students from China to gain experience on senior design/technology projects in a multi-cultural setting. They will be placed in groups consisting of a mix of American and Chinese students. These groups will be assigned a project that will encourage teamwork, communication skills, leadership skills and networking skills in different and challenging environments. Along with the project, the students will attend lectures that are presented by various professors and professionals from around the world, allowing the students to gain an appreciation on global issues and the complexity in the global workforce operations.

Students will be immersed in the Taiwanese culture and learn to communicate and work within groups that consist of students from a variety of cultures. This will engage students and test their knowledge of engineering, project management, leadership and communication skills.
