Melinda Cerney
Melinda
is a Ph.D. student working in Dr. Adams lab.
Melinda Cerney's research focuses on the identification
of a relationship between motion trajectories and body shape for the
purposes of human-centered design. She is evaluating optical motion
data captured in a simulated operator workstation environment to explore
the effect of body shape on general reaching activities using geometric
morphometric motion analysis. In this research, Melinda seeks to develop
a motion model capable of predicting and interpolating motion trajectories
based on a subject's body shape, with the goal of applying the trajectories
of a few captured subjects to a database of static human landmark data.
