Notes: "Had 1 other child, William. Also known as ""William of Chichester."" A carpenter by trade, he joined the Quakers while living in England and was selected to act as commissioner for William Penn to go to America and clear titles for land in New Jersey. Sailed for America on the ship ""Kent"" which left London in March of 1677. In 1681 he moved his family to Chester County in Pennsylvania. On Sept 13 1681 he presided over the first Court in Chester County. He was one of the first two judges for the City of Philadelphia, and the acting Governor of Pennsylvania 1684-1685."
