College of Design Dean Luis Rico-Gutierrez, College of Engineering Dean
Jonathan Wickert and Professor Ingrid Lilligren, exhibition coordinator.
Gallery Talk: Picture Books for Children of
All Ages
Tuesday, February 1 at 7:00 pm in the Brunnier Art Museum
Chuck Richards, ISU associate professor of integrated arts and an author and
illustrator of children's books, will share all aspects of his picture books
for young readers. Richards will be joined by Amy Popillion, senior lecturer
in human
development and family studies, who will discuss historical and contemporary
trends in children's literature.

Time and the Third Dimension
Tuesday, February 22 at 7:00 pm
in the Brunnier Art Museum
Anson Call, associate professor of integrated studio arts, combines
computers and art into three-dimensional work. Call will describe his
digital animation artwork and will be joined by
Chris Johnson, lecturer in computer science, who will help the audience
understand the history and development of computer-generated images.
Gallery Talk: In Search of Learning and
Healing
Tuesday, March 29 at 7:00 pm in the Brunnier Art Museum
Dean Biechler has had a long, intimate relationship with nature and a love
for the land. Whatever his subject matter may be, it is always about being
immersed in a situation, seeing, learning and understanding. Biechler, an
ISU
lecturer in integrated studio arts and biological and pre-medical
illustration, will be joined by Donald Sakaguchi, professor of genetics,
development and cell biology. Together they will explore the important
relationship between science and art.
Storytime with Chuck
Richards
Sunday, April 10 at 2:00 pm in the Brunnier Art Museum
Bring the entire family to the Brunnier Art Museum to hear the exciting
tales of Critter Sitter and Jungle Gym Jitters read by author and
illustrator Chuck Richards, ISU associate professor of integrated studio
arts. Following story time, all are invited to complete a scavenger hunt of
works of art in the museum.
