Jim Leach, Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities, joins scholars, museum directors, librarians, and personal collectors from across the state for the first Iowa Humanities Festival. Collectors, Collections, and Collecting, is a daylong series of library tours, panel discussions, informal presentations, and conversations. Created by the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies at the University at Iowa, hosted by the Salisbury House Foundation at Salisbury House & Gardens, and generously supported by Humanities Iowa, the Iowa Humanities Festival showcases the value of Iowa's colleges, universities, and cultural institutions.


Tickets are available on the Salisbury House website. The $10.00 admission fee covers a light lunch and closing reception. ISU faculty interested in attending should contact Sandra Norvell to discuss transportation options.
