ISU Senior Leadership RetreatA retreat is planned for ISU senior leaders on October 10, 2007. This meeting will be facilitated by Executive Vice President and Provost Elizabeth Hoffman. The retreat includes university vice presidents and deans. The guest speaker for the retreat is Camilla Benbow, formerly an interim dean and chair of the Department of Psychology at Iowa State University and now dean of the Peabody College of Education and Human Development of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Vanderbilt is a private university that uses a budgeting procedure that is similar to the Resource Management Model developed at Iowa State University. With her experience both with budgeting at Iowa State and with using a budget similar to the one ISU is moving toward, she will address the similarities and challenges that ISU faces. |
