With the Resource Management Model at Iowa State University,
the process of budget development changed from the traditional method.
Central Activities
The Executive Vice President and Provost is responsible for
Iowa State University's budgeting process. Information for making decisions
on the budget is provided to Elizabeth Hoffman in a variety of ways:

- University Budget Advisory Committee
The University Budget Advisory Committee advises the
Executive Vice President on budget matters, including the
advice provided by five other advisory committees.

- ISU Senior Leadership Group
The Iowa State University Senior Leadership Group was created in
October
2007.
Members are the college deans, vice presidents and administrators in
the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost.
- Financial Officers Group
The Financial Officers Group was created in December 2007.
The Financial Officers Group is comprised of financial staff across
divisions.
Its purpose is to explore the broader policy and management changes
that are part of the transition to the Resource Management Model.
