FY2009 Budget Development with the Resource Management ModelThis part of the website is focused on budget development at Iowa State University using the Resource Management Model. With the Resource Management Model at Iowa State University, the process of budget development changed from the traditional method. Fiscal Year 2009 is the first budget to be developed using the Resource Management Model. The kickoff for developing the FY2009 budget began in October 2007. The Resource Management Model includes developing an overall budget based on a combination of expense budgets and revenue budgets. The Executive Vice President and Provost provided a memo to the university leadership, which included advice on planning parameters and guidelines, to ensure changes in direct expense budgets for FY2009 are fair for all units.
