Monthly Planning Reports
As part of planning budget development this year,
unit leaders will provide monthly planning reports
to the Executive Vice President and Provost.

Cross-Unit Planning Teams
The Executive Vice President and Provost appointed five teams to study specific topics as part of the process
of developing the university's FY11 budget (and beyond).

Central Activities
The Executive Vice President and Provost is responsible for
Iowa State University's budgeting process. Information for making decisions
on the budget is provided to Elizabeth Hoffman in a variety of ways:
ISU Senior Leadership Group
- The Iowa State University Senior Leadership Group was created in
October 2007.
Members are the college deans, vice presidents and administrators in
the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost.
Financial Officers Group
- The Financial Officers Group was created in December 2007.
The Financial Officers Group is comprised of financial staff across divisions.
Its purpose is to explore the broader policy and management changes
that are part of the transition to the Resource Management Model.

University Budget Advisory Committee
- The University Budget Advisory Committee advises the
Executive Vice President on budget matters, including the
advice provided by five other advisory committees.
