Fundamental questions in developmental biology of the Kingdom Plantae will be covered with specific examples from the literature. Developmental processes will be discussed in light of our current understanding of cellular and organ totipotency, molecular genetics, molecular mechanisms of plant hormone function, signal transduction, morphogenesis, and pattern formation.
