This L-shaped abode in central California was designed for a young couple and their children in 2006. The owners wanted to emphasize a home that had an engaging indoor-outdoor connection with a "barefoot" feel to it. Sitting on a 2.8 acre site, this home is nestled atop a gentle sloping hill and embraces a large oak tree at the corner of the home's two wings. An emphasized connection is further made with a series of terraces that subtly descend away from the home toward an outdoor pool.
