Protein Design Labs, Inc. is a leader in the development of humanized
monoclonal antibodies to treat various disease conditions. We currently have
antibodies in clinical development for autoimmune and inflammatory conditions,
asthma and cancer. Our goal is to become a profitable company that manufactures
and markets innovative products to meet important medical needs. We hold fundamental patents in the U.S., Europe and Japan that cover our
antibody humanization technology. This technology is also used by numerous other
pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, many of which have licensed our
patents, and have agreed to pay royalties to us on any sales of licensed
products. We receive royalties on sales of all four of the currently marketed
