Entry Proposal

         Our proposal for the 1999 Spring Semester of design/build
         is to design and construct a computer "island" under the
         stairs in the atrium. The project is intended to increase
         the visibility of our college and to create an interesting
         environment adjacent to the Design Cafe. The scope of
         work includes new flooring, computer worksurfaces,
         iMac computers from Apple Computer, display cases,
         a transparent glass block wall as well as communications
         and electrical wiring.

         The images below illustrate our proposal as well as some
         of the material selections.
