Our project for the Spring Semester of 1999 is to
   design and renovate the lobby or "gateway" in the
   College of Design. This area is framed by doors to
   the northwest and southeast, an elevator to the
   southwest and stairs to the northeast. Recent
   additions to the college have made change necessary
   to accomodate new patterns of circulation and
   behavior. A new cafe and auditorium have been added
   to the college in the past 2 years and now it is up
   to design/build to reshape the character of the space
   that connects all of these services.
