Winter driving can be dangerous
Dave had a meeting to attend, and with the heavy Iowa winter on hand he felt prepared in leaving 30 minutes early.
Tom (Dave’s roommate) said, “You might want to check your car over to make sure that everything works properly in this cold weather before leaving.”
Dave responded, “I am leaving 30 minutes early and so I will be just fine.”
Dave left and fortunately his car started right up, but as he got down the road, he tried to use his windshield wipers, but they were frozen to his windshield, Dave subsequently drove off of the road into a ditch due to lack of visibility endangering himself and others on the road.
