What kind of weather can I expect?

It is a good idea to listen to the weather reports before you go out so that you can prepare adequately for the weather conditions that day. You can receive warnings of hazardous weather conditions with a NOAA Weather Radio (NWR).

These receivers can access the weather information which is broadcast continuously 24 hours a day from a nearby National Weather Service office. These broadcasts include National Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information. Some of these NWR receivers can sound an alarm when there is warning message. Weather radios can be purchased at local stores which sell electronics.
