Sample Questions for the SpCm 212 Test-Out Exam
(Correct answers can be found at the end of page.)

These questions will simply give you some idea of how one can ask multiple choice questions about this type of material; the questions do not necessarily reflect the range of material covered on the test out exam.  Using the study questions for the chapters on the CD-ROM that comes with the 7th edition of the Lucas textbook will give you further practice.

The actual test out exam has 50 multiple choice questions and they are taken from the following chapters:  Chapter 1 (4 questions), Chapter 4  (3 questions), Chapter 5  (3 questions), Chapter 7  (4 questions), Chapter 8  (7 questions), Chapter 9  (5 questions), Chapter 10  (4 questions), Chapter 11  (4 questions), Chapter 12  (3 questions), Chapter 13  (2 questions),  Chapter 15  (6 questions), Chapter 16  (5 questions).

If you want more guidance for study purposes you could look at the review materials for the midterm and final exams for the Fall semester of Speech Communication 212.  You would, of course, not be responsible for any of the kinds of materials that were covered only in lecture and not in the book, but the material that we expect people to get from the book during the regular semester is the same as the material we hope you can demonstrate knowledge of during the testout.
