Academics includes the work done during my education, right from the kindergarten to professional degree.

I do not recall much from my early childhood, but I have done my whole schooling in a small town called Roorkee, located in the northern Indian state of Uttaranchal. I started off with joining the nursery at Adarsh Bal Niketan. Lower and upper kindergarten was completed at St. Ann's School, after which I joined St. Gabriel's Academy for the rest of my schooling of twelve years. After the tenth class, I took science stream and was among the very few who took the combination of Math and Biology, apart from the compulsory courses of Physics, Chemistry, English and general Computers.

Following the crowd, I wrote the Joint Entrance Examination along with few other competitive examinations for engineering. And to my absolute surprise, I had cleared the JEE! Hence I landed at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, for undergraduation in computer science and engineering. After four years, I completed the bachelors degree with somewhat average performance.

I took break from academics for a year and joined the industry. For about three months, I was a research engineer at the Center for Development of Telematics in the IT city of India, Bangalore. Unhappy with absolute no work, I shifted to Samsung India Software Operations, just two blocks away from my previous office.

Continuing my education, I joined the department of electrical and computer engineering at Iowa State University of Science and Technology for graduate program in computer engineering. To support my education, I also work as a research assistant under Prof. Srinivas Aluru. Presently I am in the fourth semester.
