Revit Model - Process

Modeling process includes tracing digital drawings that are scaled and placed in Revit. Using the floorplans as well as sections for information, the model begins to take shape.

Autocad site - process

The Autocade site was developed by tracing topo lines of the site from digital drawings. JPEG drawings of the site as well as Google Earth images were imported into Autocad as bitmaps. I then traced the topo lines to develop the site, including property lines, street access, roadways, and property lines.

Model - Material studies/initial rendering

Taking inital renderings helped detemine the types of materials that are related to actual materials used in the house.

Autocad to Revit - process

Using the Autocad DWG file I imported the site into Revit, where I generated the topo surface and began to add detail such as materials and vegitation.

After completing the general form of the building, in order to detail items such as materials, furniture, and appliances, perspective photos of the house were used to inform me of greater detail. Looking back and forth between the photos and Revit allowed me to create much more accurate detail in the model.
